Materials for energy and the environment
Welcome to the website for the research group of Prof. John Griffin. We are based in the Department of Chemistry at Lancaster University.
We carry out research to answer questions about structure and mechanisms in materials for energy and the environment.
Much of our research is centred around the use of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, which is a powerful probe of local structure and dynamics in materials. We also use other techniques such as diffraction, thermal analysis and computation to provide additional insight.
